When I was a few months pregnant with my daughter, an ultrasound showed a lesion on her developing brain. I began to get up early each day for a set time to pray that the lesion would go away. It did. I have also prayed and prayed for my husband to change in the ways I think he should. He has not. In both of these instances, though the outcomes differed, prayer was the game changer. In both cases, prayer connected me to God and gave me the wisdom to understand His plan instead of my will… no matter the answer I received.
Prayer can be as simple as a word, help… please… thank you…, or even devoid of words, a plea made real in simply connecting with God.
