A friend of mine and her husband were talking with another couple.  The other guy complained that his wife takes way too long to get ready. “And when she shaves her legs,” he said,  “it takes even longer!” My friend’s husband was silent for a moment and then responded. “Your wife shaves her legs??” My friend didn’t know whether to laugh or kill him.

That reminded me of another friend who isn’t a big manicure girl, but her husband really likes feminine-looking, well-groomed hands. So she gets regular manis—just for him. We’re not suggesting that you should become someone you’re not to appeal to your man, but think about the little things he might do just for you—putting the toilet seat lid down, using mouthwash before he gets in bed, or other things that seem small, but have a big impact.
