How to Keep You Kids from the “Big 3″ Dangers

 

Drugs, drinking and sex.   Did you know that if your kids can make it to age 21 without smoking, abusing alcohol, or doing drugs, they are pretty much home free?  (And, since being under the influence makes a child more likely to have sex, preventing the first two of the “big 3″ goes a long way.)  Unfortunately, a recent survey found that 25 percent of 8th graders, 40 percent of 10th graders and more than half of 12th graders reported drinking alcohol during the prior month.  Moms, we have some work cut out for us.

Here’s how you can start talking to your children, whether they’re pre-teens or teens, about drugs, drinking, and sex.
