9 Ways to Be a Better Mom Every Day

I enjoy looking at “mommy blogs”— most of the time.  But there are some days when I’ve seen one adorable kids party, perfect meal, or hand-embellished apron too many.  As I look at these blogs featuring amazing moms and their seemingly endless ideas (and the energy to see them through!), I feel like a loser!

At the bottom of my discouragement  is my thinking, and in some cases my knowing, that I could be a better mom.  So which is it?  Do I strive to be a “mommy blogger” diva, or just accept myself for what I am?  For me, the answer lies somewhere in the middle.  I’ll never be mommy blog material, but I can strive to be the best mom version of me, I can be.

You might want to consider these ways to be the mom you want to be.

What is so wonderful about my friends is on the outside everything looks fantastic… Well behaved children, everyone dressed nice, everyone happy but I know that the inside of their house hd runs like mine. :-) . It may look perfect, but it what isn’t works for us.

I just want to be myself! I want to show my child that it’s ok to be an individual and not be like everyone else! It is better to be humble then to have a high self esteem because then a child grows up thinking that everything should be there way and they won’t have as much self respect for themselves and others around them. That is the biblical way to think as a parent. I don’t strive to be more like my friends, but I do wish at times I had more energy to cook more often because right now I work full-time days and my husband works nights. He wants supper before he goes to work so he usually fixes it before I get home. However, I know as a wife I could have something fixed the night before and put it in the crock pot.
