A friend of mine is expecting her first child.  A couple of weeks ago she had to undergo extra testing to make sure the baby was healthy.  Thankfully, everything was okay.  But in the days leading up to the test she said she was so anxious she almost couldn’t stand it.  Welcome to the world of motherhood, I told her.  We love our children so much that we can go to some very anxious places in our mind.
