How to Raise Independent Kids

 

In this month where we celebrate the value of independence as a nation, it makes good sense to think about how we train our children to one day be capable, independent adults. From the cradle to the cap and gown, there are parenting strategies all moms can employ to help our kids do more for themselves and enjoy the self-confidence that comes with those skills! Like you, we don’t want them to grow up too fast, but self-sufficiency is an idea best taught in stages. Waiting until they’re packing for college is not a wise move.
