Married to a Messie

You know you’re living with a messie if: there are more clothes on the floor than in the closet.  There are more dishes in the sink than in the cabinets.  There are days you can’t see your countertops because they’re covered with his stuff.  In most marriages, the messie is the husband (if you’re the Messie, we have hope for your battle against clutter).

So what can you do if you live with a messie?  Guest iSpecialist Sandra Felton says you don’t want to destroy your relationship just to have a clean house, and suggests you start by understanding these 6 Reasons Why the Messie Is Messy.  And what if your messie husband is also a packrat?  Sandra has some help for you there too.  Start by figuring out, Should I Throw Out My Husband’s Clutter or organize it?  If you answer, throw it out, here are her 7 Steps to Get Rid of Your Packrat’s Stuff.  (You will want to add this to your husband’s collection—All Pro Dad, a great new book he’ll love, that will inspire him to be an even better father.)

Are you hoarding layers of emotional junk and clutter?
