The Hardest Job in the World

The hardest job in the world is the best job in the world.  You know what that job is.  It’s being a mother.  And we know we will never regret the time and energy we pour into our children.  Think about the mothers who will watch their children at the opening ceremony of the Olympics tonight.  Then, see how their sacrifices, love and tears fueled their children’s success.

I wish you had written that the hardest job in the world is being a “parent” not mother. I appreciate your recognizing Mom’s roles, and as a widow/single Mom myself of three young sons it can be a very overwhelming/difficult job, please let’s remember to honor fathers & men, too. Our entire culture continues to empower women and ignore the vital roles of men/Dad’s. My youngest son prays every day that God would give him a Daddy like everyone else. So next time, please let’s honor all parents for the awesome job, although it is hard, yet it has made all of us less selfish and better people for being Moms/Dads!!

True Sue! but let’s not diminish the role of being a mother! Certain things a father will never experience with a child. 9 months of selflessly carrying, nuturing & feeling your child before anyone else! The bond of breastfeeding. and countless other I cannot put into words. Comparing mothers & fathers is like comparing apples to…rocks?
