Share Your Labor Day Pains

We know Labor Day is really about work, but giving birth is a lot of work too! So share your “labor pains” with your kids. Most of them love to hear the story of the day they were born… how you felt as you were waiting for your due date to arrive… where you were when you realized you were going into labor… and how it felt to hold them, your new baby, for the first time.

My daughter loves to hear about when it was time for me to go to the hospital, and how her Dad started running around in circles in a new father panic! I finish the story by telling her how incredible it was to look into her eyes for the first time, to know that this was our child, and that all of the labor was well worth it, and still is.

Tell your children your labor day story by using these TALK The Day You Were Born printable conversation starters. Then, let them fill out our printable family tree so they can see the labor days that have gone before.
