How Much Money Do You Really Need?

 

How much money do you need to earn to be happy? $50,000, $100,000, $200,000?  A recent study found that “happiness,” or satisfaction with life tops out with a $75,000 annual income.  That means that anything over that amount does not bring additional satisfaction.  Interesting, huh?  Because think about it, a lot of people would use the extra money above $75,000 to buy more things to make them “happier”—a nicer house, a nicer car, better clothes for the kids.  But guess what—the study found that spending money on experiences (a walk in the park, a family vacation, seeing a play) and on others actually brings more satisfaction.  It confirms what lots of us know, there are only 3 Things That Really Matter in Life.
