Dedicated and Deliberate Activities


  1. Make your own bed
  2. Brush your teeth without a reminder
  3. See how many basketball shots you can make in a row. Try to beat your record each day.
  4. Journal
  5. Read a devotion
  6. Practice a sporting skill
  7. Practice a musical instrument
  8. Come up with one thing for which you're thankful
  9. Do a specific number of sit ups, push-ups, pull-ups or jumping jacks.
  10. Try to do 10 cartwheels a day
  11. Come up with a theme song for the day and learn all the words
  12. Turn off the TV for an extra hour each day and come up with something creative to do for that hour instead
  13. Pick your own (mom approved) clothes
  14. Help clear the dishes after dinnertime
  15. Read a book
  16. Give a friend a compliment
  17. Do one random act of kindness
  18. Run or bike ride for 30 minutes
  19. Get along with your siblings
  20. Try to eat something you've never eaten before
  21. Try to help cook dinner
  22. Keep your room picked up without being told
  23. Put away you sports equipment when you get home from practice
  24. Bring the newspaper in every morning
  25. Ask mom and dad, "How can I help you today?"
