Cookies, candy canes, cakes and pies... it's enough to conjure up visions of sugarplums in your child's head! But overindulgence in holiday goodies can pack on pounds your kids don't need. While they're home for the holidays, make their Christmas break an active one.
Step away from the cookies and turn off the TV! Take a walk around the block to look at holiday decorations, ride bikes, go sledding or build a snowman together. Good health is a good habit. And it's one of the best gifts you can give your kids, not just during the holidays, but all year long.
