Synopsis

Jeff and Heather were the “lucky ones.” Best friends from childhood, high school sweethearts, and married by 22. They were inseparable soul mates. Jeff’s world is dramatically rocked when Heather disappears after the birth of their son. Heather shockingly reappears ten years later in the most unusual place.

Movie Message

This is a dramatic movie about recovery, forgiveness, love and changes in one’s life. It is a captivating story of one married couple after years of separation who are reunited with the help of friends and God’s plan.

Jeff has been raising his son, Ethan, for the last ten years as a single parent. Now he is ready to make some changes. He has been dating Katie and now, with the permission of Ethan, wants to ask her to marry him. But before he pops the question to the love of his life, his ex-wife Heather appears. Heather is now a changed woman, which seems to make the marriage to Katie impossible.

Heather has gone through depression, addiction, recovery and most important of all she became a Christian. Now after all these years she is reunited with her son and the husband that she abandoned so many years ago. The first thing she needs from them is their forgiveness and, second, understanding regarding the change in her life. Jeff can forgive but does not fully understand the change and her new Christian faith.

Truly this is a film for the mature Christian audience that may bring discussions regarding the meaning of marriage, being a Christian, honoring God and His unforeseen plans for us. Due to its mature themes, we award “No Greater Love” our Dove Seal and recommend it for ages 12 and over.
