secret missions; fear of the unknown.
As her new romance blossoms, a single mother is dismayed when her boyfriend, a military sergeant, is deployed right before Christmas. Determined to not let it ruin the holidays for her and her children, she decides to give back to the struggling military families on his base and, as their efforts go viral, they are rewarded in ways they never imagined.
Olivia is a divorced mom with two children, and Scott is a father of one little girl when they have a chance meeting on the ski slope. Their children become friends, and the holiday may ultimately be better for all of them. But when Scott and his daughter don't show up for the Christmas Eve activities, Olivia is upset.A year later, Olivia lands a new job in an army base town where it just so happens that Scott is based. They find themselves once again together on a project for the service families to raise their Christmas spirits. Olivia's involvement with the military families and Sgt. Reynolds (Scott) gives her a sense of family but also frightens her. Coming from a military family, the satisfaction from being there for others is familiar to me, and this movie relays that experience in a wonderful way. This movie also depicts the fear of the unknown in being part of a family bigger than ourselves and how special the connection in a military family can be. "Operation Christmas" is inspiring and insightful to the spirit of the servicemen and women's duty of country, family and faith. Yet, this inspirational movie is also an entertaining look at the servicemen and families who take care of our country by revealing lessons about living in the moment and not being afraid of the unknown. We are very proud to award our Dove Family-Approved Seal for all ages to " Operation Christmas."
