Movie Message

The Synopsis:

The story of Steve, an Adélie penguin, on a quest to find a life partner and start a family. When Steve meets with Wuzzo, the emperor penguin, they become friends. But nothing comes easy in the icy Antarctic.

The Review:

Disneynature returns with a delightful new documentary about the remarkable lives of some of our favorite wild animals: Antarctica’s Adélie penguins. In this gorgeous live-footage documentary, we are brought into a sweet tale through the talented voice of Ed Helms as Steve. We follow Steve’s journey as a first-time father, and all the struggles that come with raising chicks in such harsh conditions. (But really, do penguins consider them harsh?). The soundtrack helps carry the mood and energizes Boomer parents (and grandparents!) with great 70’s legends like White Snake and REO Speedwagon.

Penguins is beautiful and smart. We can celebrate this amazing geography, and the baffling wonder of God’s creation. This movie earns the approved Seal for All Ages.
