Movie Message

Who is that swimming in the deep blue sea? It is a Beluga whale looking at me! Shark School is a fun animated introduction to the fascinating creatures that live under the sea. Kiddos will learn about lobsters, octopi, pufferfish, shrimp, dolphins, seals and many other colorful characters that rely on the sea. The friendly teacher, Alba, instructs her students about what the sea creatures eat, how they grow, and other interesting traits and facts that are unique to each species. As Alba teaches in memorable poems, clips and photos of real sea creatures play across the screen to illustrate Alba’s rhymes. Milo and Bella ask lots of questions and love to learn more about the world they live in.

Though Shark School is a simple show that is meant for younger children, it doesn’t skimp on the facts and new vocabulary about the sea and what lives in it. Alba is always careful to mention sea animals’ defense mechanisms—like how jellyfish have a painful sting—and warns her students not to touch them. Other facts are also interesting, like how some species of sea turtles can't retract their neck into their shell making them more vulnerable to predators. In less than an hour, Shark School shows kids a colorful new world under the sea that is sure to stir their imaginations.
