Rose Hathaway (Deutch) is a Dhampir: half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discretely within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi. This is her story.
This vampire movie is geared toward teen girls and vampire lovers. It features strong doses of romance and “feeders” giving their arms to vampires to drink from in addition to vampires putting the bite on many necks and shoulders. The blood flows in this movie.
The convoluted plot features a few characters protecting a “princess” and the various happenings at the Vampire Academy. There are characters that aren’t what they seem to be and sub plots that include everything from concerns about death attempts on lives to a few girls wondering if certain young men like them. The movie contains a curse of “Go to H***” in addition to a lot of violence and blood, and for these two reasons we can’t award it our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal.
