Turkey and Stuffing


 

The Ingredients below are based on a 14 lb Turkey.

Turkey

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped onion

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients above and add salt and pepper to taste. Rub all over the outside of turkey.
  2. Cover turkey until you are ready to fill with stuffing.


Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of honey wheat bread
  • ½ loaf of sourdough bread
  • ½ loaf of white bread
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 5 Tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 5 Tbsp finely chopped celery
  • 2 sticks of butter melted

Directions:

  1. Tear bread into bite size pieces. Blend all ingredients above and add salt and pepper. Put stuffing inside turkey and tie off with strings or use turkey pins to close.
  2. Roast turkey according to package directions for a stuffed turkey and baste with rub often.
