Main Dish
Turkey and Stuffing
The Ingredients below are based on a 14 lb Turkey.
Turkey
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of melted butter
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped onion
Directions:
- Blend all ingredients above and add salt and pepper to taste. Rub all over the outside of turkey.
- Cover turkey until you are ready to fill with stuffing.
Stuffing
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of honey wheat bread
- ½ loaf of sourdough bread
- ½ loaf of white bread
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
- 5 Tbsp finely chopped onion
- 5 Tbsp finely chopped celery
- 2 sticks of butter melted
Directions:
- Tear bread into bite size pieces. Blend all ingredients above and add salt and pepper. Put stuffing inside turkey and tie off with strings or use turkey pins to close.
- Roast turkey according to package directions for a stuffed turkey and baste with rub often.
