10 Mom Prayers

No matter what kind of mom you are—strict, silly, protective, encouraging, adventurous—there are some days where prayer is the only thing keeping you afloat. Some days the best we can do is “Lord, give me strength!” but if you’re looking for a more focused way to pray, these 10 mom prayers touch on so many aspects of motherhood.

Our “mom prayers” are special because the heart of a mother is special. The way you’re tied to your children and can sense their needs, fears, troubles, and pressures is a privilege, but it also comes with a lot of stress. That’s on top of the things life throws at you while you’re juggling runny noses, school projects, swim practice, or driver’s ed. Instead of stressing over what’s on your plate and allowing your mind to spiral as you try to get everything under control, carve out five minutes of your day to pray and reflect on these verses from the Bible.

Once you start praying these mom prayers, you’ll wonder how you ever made it through a day without them. More importantly, your kids will see a change in you. God will give you what you ask for in order to help you love your children well— energy, self-control, wisdom, even a stronger marriage. And you never know, when your kids see God working in you, they might want to start adding more prayer to their day. You can encourage them with our Praises for God printable, or take the 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

If you need more focused prayer for your kids, we’ve got you covered. There are prayers for toddlers, elementary, middle and high school, and even separate prayers for boys and girls. All you have to do is pick the one you need, print and start praying! And remember, we’re praying for you, too!
