30 Day Holiday Challenge

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, right?  Then why do so many moms feel more humbug than ho, ho, ho?  Could it be the pressure we put on ourselves to have the perfect, joyful holiday home and to create the most perfect, TV-worthy Christmas memories? Maybe it’s the fact that our December calendars have zero white space on them. Instead of worrying about decorations, gifts, or a calendar of events, focus on the good stuff that the holidays bring. Take the 30 Day Holiday Challenge to add more meaning, memories, and joy to your Christmas season.

Don’t let the real meaning of Christmas get lost in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. These 30 ideas will bring your focus and your heart back to the simple things like hugs, having a welcoming spirit, and enjoying a Christmas carol or two. The best part about the challenge is that your family will notice that your stress and attitude have changed when you intentionally focus on joy each day.

If you are just finding this holiday challenge and it’s less than 30 days till Christmas, don’t worry. If you’re sixteen days out, start on day sixteen or pick your favorites and focus on those. This is about you and bringing back a sense of Christmas joy and peace to your spirit. Don’t see this challenge as pass or fail, and don’t treat it like another thing you have to accomplish in this crazy month. Use it as a tool to guide your thoughts back to the important things – family, love, and the special feeling the holidays bring. We think that if you do a few of the things on this list, you’ll find yourself full of Christmas cheer by the 25th.
