It’s About Time: 4 Things Every Parent Must Know

Do you ever wish you could time travel? I would love it! And if I had to choose one time to travel back to, I would travel to when my children were 4 and 2. Even as I think about it, I have a longing to hear their sweet voices, stroke their soft face and hands, and hold them very close.

Since we can’t go back in time (or forward, for that matter!), Mark Merrill, president of Family First president and husband of Content Director Susan Merrill, shares what every mom needs to understand about time.

One of our Family First team members, Andy Mayer, shared a message with our entire team about how to make the most of our time as a parent. This blog is based on some of his thoughts.

According to the British Heart Foundation, the average person spends 19 minutes a day thinking about their regrets. That’s 2 and a half hours a week. One of the top regrets people report having is not spending enough time with their family.

Ever since I became a dad 24 years ago, I’ve worked hard to be very intentional about spending quantity time with each of my children. I want my kids to always know that being with them was a top priority for me.
