25 Bible Verses for Strength

“Lord, give me strength.” I prayed that simple prayer while I was in labor with my first son. If I could go back in time to that day and whisper in my own ear, I’d say, “You can do this! Oh, and keep that prayer handy because you’re gonna need it.” As my sons grew from tiny infants to curious toddlers and now young men who are learning independence and character, I’ve needed prayers and Bible verses for strength more than I ever expected.

Whether you’re in the middle of a family crisis, battling the flu while your kids need your attention, dealing with a back-talking teenager, or lying awake worrying about tomorrow, you need strength. And if you’re trying to rely on your own, you’re probably going to run out pretty quickly. So try praying with these 25 Bible verses for strength to renew your peace, bring you hope, and give you the fortitude to take the next step.
